Every time we return to Mexico and walk through the streets, handing out invitations and sharing the message of God’s love, I experience something deeply personal.
One of the hardest moments comes when we hand out our last invitations. I realize there are still people we haven’t reached. Some of them may never receive another invitation or have the opportunity to hear about God. And that thought weighs heavily on my heart.
We cannot reach everyone or make sure that every person hears the Good News. But I believe God will continue His work through others, reaching people in ways we may never see.
Whenever we hand someone a simple invitation, we never truly know what happens next. We don’t know how God might use that small piece of paper to touch someone’s heart or change the direction of their life.
Perhaps one day, when we are in heaven, someone will come up to us and say:
“Do you remember? One day, you handed me a little piece of paper with an invitation.”
And in that moment, we may finally understand how something so small could make an eternal difference.
That is why we keep coming back to Mexico.
